Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Guchea enter- I
talned at dinner April 13, celebrating
thetr wedding anniversary. The fol
lowing guests were present: Mr. and
Mrs. R. R. Ouches, Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Ouches and family, Clyde, Glenn and
Marie Ouches, Fern Collar and Alan
Doty.
Mrs. J. C. Hertford and aons, Floyd
and Harley, motored to Crescent City
recently. While there, they visited
Mrs. Hertford's sister. Mrs. Harry
Bally. They brought bark a truck
load of calves for Van Dyke's dairy.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vogel and family
motored, to Grants Pass April 13 to
attend the funeral of Freemont Jor
dan. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson of Fish
lake were visiting friends here April
14.
A large crowd attended the old
time dance at the Holmes packing
house April 14. Several people were
there from Medford, Central Point
and Phoenix.
Mrs. Clyde Richmond of the HamiU
orchards spent the week-end at
Marsh field.
Several Griffin creek residents
motored to Sterling Saturday evening
to attend the dance.
Mrs. Lassie Hill entertained the
ladies of the Radio club April 16. 13
members being present, also one
visitor. She was assisted by Mrs.
Muriel Williams. Refreshments were
served. The next meeting will be
at the home of Lula Flak. I
Miss Lillian Brown entertained
Thursday evening with a play party
for the young people of the commu
nity. A number of ladles with children
of pre-school age met at the Brown
school housn April 13 with the county
nurse. Miss Blanche Runels and made
arrangements for a health clinic the
afternoon of June 1, from 1 to 5
o'clock. t
Those with children under school
age, especially those who start to
school next fall, are urged to attend.
Dr. C. I. Drummond and Miss Runels
will give the examinations.
