Mr. Plercy says: "In my opinion,
when a grocer displays a lot of vari

know how many women welcome sug

Foods Salad Week does to perfection."
Because of the thousands of suc

MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE. MEDFORD, OREGON. TUESDAY. APRIL 17, 1934.
' Registration for the primary elec
tion, May 18, will end today. County
Clerk Carter estimates that the reg
istration will be between 13.500 and
14.000 the normal number for Jack
ton county. In 1032, the registration
was 19,139, an unprecedented num
ber. The total vote cast was slightly
under 14.000.
According to clerk office attaches,
the registration this spring has been
brisk, and chiefly by voters who have
changed precincts the past two years.
The registration between the Demo
cratic and Republican parties has
been about even, they say.
There .has also been a number of
cancellations of registration cards of
people who have the past two yeare
. returned to other states or counties
of Oregon. A number of Democrats
who registered Republican in the
spring of 1032, to participate in the
Republican primary, have returned
to the Bourbon fold.
A number of lifelong Republicans
have gone Democratic, and a number
of Democrats have flopped over the
other way, in the past two months.
The switching has not been large
f enough to hurt either major party.
There are between 150 and 200 new
voters who are turning 21, and will
act t.helr first ballot this year. They,
too, are evenly diveded between Re
publican and Democrat.
At the last general election 1,189
votes were cast for minor parties
In the county and It Is estimated the
mark will remain practically the
same.
Election supplies for the primary
election have been received from the
secretary of state, and the ballot list
for the county -for printing will be
submitted this week.
