Society Is eagerly awaiting tht ax
rival here of Mr. and Mra. Charles
Voorhies (Doris Danenhower), whose
wedding was a social event of last
Monday at Christ church in Coro
nado, Cal. They are now on a honey
moon trip tfirough California and
will continue to Medford to make
their home.
Mra. Gordon Voorhlea, mother of
the groom, who went south for the
wedding, will arrive here today. She
has since been visiting Oeneral and
Mrs. Brown in San Francisco.
The wedding in the south was at
tended by a small group of relatives
and friends, Including the bride's
parents, Commander and Mra. Sloan
: Danenhower of New York, who pre
viously visited In this city aa guests
of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Owen.
The service was followed by a wed
ding breakfast at the Hotel Coronado
attended by about 20 guests.
The bride, a graduate of Miss Mas
ter's school at Dobbs Ferry, was a
popular member of New York society
and completed her education at Versailles.
Mr. Voorhies Is a talented young
artlat, the son of Colonel and Mrs.
. Gordon Voorhies of this city.
Egans, Livingstons
Return To Valley
Mr. and Mrs. H. Chandler Egan re
turned Thursday from their winter
home at pebble Beach and will remain
until the middle of April. They are
sailing then for Europe. Mr. Egan to
participate In the walker cup play
as i. member of the American team.
Mrs. Egan will travel with her sister.
Miss Adela Barrett or Chicago.

the valley, having returned from

The Women's College olub of the
Rogue river volley, met at the home
of Mrs. Myron Root, Ifi Summit
street Saturday afternoon. The meet
ing was called to order by the presi
dent, Mrs. Laura West. Little Miss

meet for regular business session on
Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock In
the pariah hall. An Invitation to the

To Wenonnh Club
Esther Dooms was the hostess to
the card party of the Wenonah club
on Thursday afternoon at her home
on Columbus avenue. There were six
tables of corns in piny, with, high
prim in bridge going to Bernloe
Brown of Ashland, and for five hun
dred, high score waa received by Mag
gie Ersklne. Mrs. Leonard Terkelaon
was a guest for the afternoon.
Further plans were discussed for tha
April Frolic to be held on Frld.iy
night, March 30.
At the close of the afternoon, re
fresh men ta were served by Norma
Martin and Alens, Eraklne, assisted
by the hostess.

This Is to be a Joint meeting with the

A major event following Easter

held at the Oriental Gardens and
the annual affair Is expected to draw
