tea," to be sponsored by the Parent
Teacher association at the Colonial
club March S, which la expected to be
one of the most interesting events for
women on the entire spring calendar.
Wedding gowna of all perloda will
be modeled at the tea. The commit
toe chairmen, working out detail of
the event, are: Mra, Jack Hcyland,
general .chairman; Mrs. Wayne Kecsee
program chairman; Mra. Harry Rlna

home of Mrs. Frank Applrgste, on
South Onkdole Friday afternoon. The
business meeting was followed by a
sewing session, after which refresh
ments were served by the hostess and
her committee. Mrs. DeVaney, the
president, announred a spoclol meet
ing for March 14, at which time the
quilt, bring pieced, will be completed
st the home of Mra. Clara Young.

Dr. John O. Page of the Moody Bible
Institute of Chicago will give the
opening address of a three-day Bible
conference to be held In the Baptist
church. The conference will con
tinue Wednesday afternoon at 8
o'clock, Wednesday evening at 7:30,
Thursday afternoon at 3 and Thurs
day evening at 7:80. Mr. Page Is a
well known Bible teacher throughout
the country as well aa a radio speak
er. Medford Is privileged to have a
man of his standing here, those who
know Mr. Page personally report. The
conference Is being sponsored by
friends and members of Mrs. War
ner's Bible clssses.

Honors Birthdays
The Weatonka council hold regular
meeting, Friday night. Members,
whose birthdays occur this month,
were honored. Those receiving g(fts
were: Dorothy Dickey, Evelyn Stagg
and Gladys Lawrents. The attendance
prize for February was received by Ed
Shackel. A social card party hour
was held, with high prizes at bridge
won by Peggy Purdln and Frank
Rush. Low scores to Zllpha Arm
strong and Jack Dooms. High prizes-
in pinochle were held by Sarah Tolle
and Otis Hubbard and low scores
went to Mnggle Ersklne and Win.

ceived by Frances Maufatt and low
by Carrie Mllnes. The committee In
charge for this month Includes Ber
nice Wilson, Maud Abbott and Glen
Abbott. At a late hour refreshments
were served by Gladys Lawrents and

the Redmen hall Monday evening,

press brings news of Miss Margaret
Mary Mann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
J. C. Mann, of this city, who is now
a Junior at St. Helen's hall.
It reads: "Jocelyn Foulkea will pre
sent in piano recital next Saturday
Margaret Mary Mann of Medford.
Jeannette Jones, pupil of Herman T.
Hohlmsn, will sing two groups of folk
songs. Miss Jones graduated from St.
Helen's Hall last year and Miss Mann
Is a Junior in the school." -.
