DIE FROM EATING
MANILA, P. I. (UP) The death
of seven persons and the poison
ing of 169 others recently In the
ftihlng village of Bacoor, Oavite, is
now explained by the bureau of
health as having resulted from the
small "manene," a species of squid.
One day after fishing was extreme
ly good the villagers were stricken
by the score, as were also dogs, and
cats.
Dr. Eugento Hernando, chief of the
epidemiology division of the bureau
of health, experimented with alll var
ieties of fish eaten by persons and
animals, feeding them to condemn
ed dogs from the city pound.
He found that the small menene
was poisonous, and concluded that
large numbers of these were what
poisoned the townsfolk.
For days villagers ate no fish, one
of their chief articles of food, until
the poison was traced.

H
ow to make good coffee everytime
Only 3 things are necessary a drip coffee maker in which boiling water drips through a
specially prepared coffee and a filter paper. That's all! And it never fails! Delicious every
time! Always crystal clear! Li a Drip Maker, the water drips through the coffee but one time, not many times
as in a Percolator. At that one time, all the rich fragrant flavor is extracted
from a coffee specially prepared for the process. Coffee-prepared for the slow
percolator process will not do. (Schilling DRIP Coffee is specially blended,
roasted and ground with filter papers enclosed.) A filter paper rests below
Jhe coffee to let through nothing but the delicious amber drops. Real drip
coffee cannot b made otherwise.
Try it! You'll join the millions
who have turned to drip coffee.
