plus the safi'fy of a front axle and rofCantilq-er Springs
A great deal of thought Is being given today to
springs. Various experiments are being tried In
an effort to get independent action for an auto
mobile's front wheels.
All of which Is simply another tribute to the
soundness of Ford engineering nod the Ford
V-8 fur 19.V4. When you drive this car you get
free action not only for the front wheels buf
'for alt 4 u heels.
Ford transverse cantilever springs provide
Individual suspension for both front and rear
axles. In the new Ford these springs have been
made more flexible. This type of construction
Is not experimental and has the advantage of
comfort plus the proved safety of a front wile.
This new Ford combines V-8 power with gas
oline economy 20 milea to the gallon at a
speed of 45 miles per hour, In exhaustive road
runs. It will do 80 miles an hour without diffi
culty. At 50 or 60 miles per hour it Is actually
running at ease!
This reserve power means acceleration un
equalled by practically any other make of
American automobile, regardless ofxost. Before
you buy any car at any price, drive the new

Here is water that makes

said Leopold Schmidt when he established
the first Olympia brewery at Tumwater in 1896
ABOVE is a reproduction of the
l "Olympian," September 5, 1895.
It 'announced that Leopold Schmidt
was to build a brewery at Tumwater
and that he had acquired the site be
cause of the special brewing qualities
of the water which came from pure,
sparkling, subterranean springs.
In 1896, he completed the brewery
and marketed "Olympia Beer" with
the famous slogan, "It's the Water."
Thirty-seven years later in 1933
the Schmidt family of brewmasters
built the modern Olympia Brewery,
one of the finest in America and now
offer you Olympia Beer, made exactly
at it was before prohibition.
Delicious, Mellow Flavor
The solvent quality of the subterra
nean spring water of Tumwater, used
exclusively for Olympia Beer, performs
four very important functions:
1. Extracts from the hops and grains
hidden flavors.
2. Gives golden color and aparklinf
life to the beer.
3. Creates a more active fermentation
of the yeast cells, thereby making
the beer mors digestible and of
constant purity.
4. Prevents detrimental changes when
thebeer is bottled and chilled.
Serve It in Your Home
Olympia Beer is a wholesome, mildly
stimulating beverage. Original import,
ed yeast stock from Denmark guaran.
tees complete fermentation; this means
that Olympia Beer is predigested and,
therefore, non - fattening. You can
