an all-day meeting Wednesday at Mrs.
Lloyd Han&cum's, where they did
sewing for the hostess. A quilt was
made and bound besides other sew
ing being done. A covered dish lunch
was served at noon. Three members
were unable to attend. Four visitors
enjoyed the day.

Forest service started work again
Thursday on the Beaver Creek roai,
after several weeks' layoff. The trac
tor was driven up by Verne Steve
son and work will start in the Waters
gulch section.

RECIPES FOR FIOHT
Vi cup butter.
H cup flour. "
1 cup chicken stock.
2 cups milk.
1 teaspoon salt.
teaspoon paprika.
teaspoon celery sait
8 cups diced cooked chicken.
1 tablespoon chopped parsley.
Melt btitter and add flour. When
blended add stock and milk. and cook;
until creamy sauce forma, stirring
constantly. Add rest of Ingredients
and cook 3 minutes.
Frozen Cheese Salad
1 package lemon flavored gela
tin mixture.
1 2-3 cups boiling water.
1 cup white cream cheese.
4 cup chopped celery.
14 cup chopped pi ml en to-stuffed
olives.
1-3 cup shredded almonds
a tablespoons chopped pickle.
teaspoon salt.
1-3 cup mayonnaise. -4
tablespoons whipped cream.
Pour water over gelatin mixture and
atlr until dissolved. Cream cheese
until soft and add seasonings, alm
onds, mayonnaise and cream. Allow
gelatin to stiffen a little, then fold
In cheese mixture. Pour Into glass
loaf mold or Individual molds and
