several watch meetings. One was
held at the Presbyterian church and
one at the Christian church. At 12
o'clock the bells rang and the usual
noise which uahers in the new year.

tained at dinner New Year's at their
home. Covers were laid for Mrs. O.
A. Cole. Mrs. E. E. Miller and Mr.
and Mrs. L. L. Martin of Grants

Live Oak grange met in regular
session at their hall Monday night.
An open lecture hour was ,held be
fore grange and was enjoyed by
members and visitors. Three new
names were voted to membership.
Refreshments were served and a
good time enjoyed. January 4th the
men of the grange gathered At the
place where the scout hall is to be
built and laid the foundation and
helped with the work. T.he grange
ladles served dinner at the Waldorf
hotel to the working men. In the
afternoon the ladles tied out an
other quilt.

and Grants Pass, left for their home
