gram In Phoenix Thursday night, be
fore a large audience.
The program was opened with a
presentation portraying the Christmas
story, and written by the teacher.
Mra. V. R. Bonham. A program of
recltatlona and songs, announced as
from a radio station, was given. Sev
eral other numbers were given. Pres
ents wore exchanged and bags of can
dy, nuts and popcorn balls were dis
tributed to all the pupils.
The Neighbors of Woodcraft met
at the Orange hall Thursday with a
good attendance. The new oftcers
filled the chairs, and the entire work
of the order was put on. Next meet

exercises put on by the Sama Val
ley drill team.
Table Rock Community Club pre
sented a Christ ma program and
tree Friday. Central Point high
school glee club assisted with the

A crew of men are at work at the
Asrate school painting and repairing
the house, putting a new roof on
the woodshed and grading and grav
eling the yard.
The work la being done under the
civil works program, the money be
ing supplied by the federal govern
ment, thus saving several hundred
dollars to the taxpayers of that dis
trict. It Is reported that no application
for CWA money was made .here by
the school district, irrigation dis
trict or drainage district.

consisting of readings and songs on
