Entertain for Children Camp Ker

evening for 600 children of that dis
trict, presenting a Christmas program,
and giving each child some candy,
nut and oranges. The OCO trucks
were sent over the radius of ten miles
from the csmp, and all the chlldien
and their parents, besides 101 private
care, attended the party. There were
present, and It was necessary to pre
sent the program twice. Earlier in the
evening the boys entertained the Oirl
Scout from Rogue River with t chick
en dinner.

White's tiot of an automobile col
lision Friday with the car Vernon E.
Cunningham of Ruch was driving,
stated that both cars were dsmaged,

Lowman Coming Jennings D. Low
man, sub-station commander for the
United State army recruiting office,
will be in hla office at the Medford
armory Tuesday and Wednesday of
this week. The office will be closed
on Monday. Christmas day. Sergent
Lowman stated that there are now
vacancies in the service in the Ha
waiian Islands, also a few positions
In the west and northwest. The two
southern Oregon recruiting offices,
located at Medford and Klamath Fall,
are the only recruiting offices in Ore
gon where men may be accepted for
foreign service.
