After having spent the Thanksgiving
week-end with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Jones, Mlat Dorothy
Jones has returned to ber school work
near Orants Pass.
Donald Patterson, who with rela
tives from Portland, left several
weeks ago for a trip to various points
in the middle west, and in the mean
time took In the sights at the Chicago
world's fair, returned to Central point
Saturday. After a brief visit at the
Patterson home, the two young gen
tlemen who accompanied him, re
turned to Portland.
Mrs. W. U. Hover, who met with a
serious accident several months ago,
resulting In a dislocated hip, is again
under the care of a physician. Her
many friends hope for her speedy
recovery.
Mrs. M. Clark of Olympla, Wash.,
who rus for some time been a guest
at the home Of ber sister, Mrs. Mat
tie Parker, left for her home Mon
day. Mrs. Mary Oleason of Seattle ar
rived before Thanksgiving at the
house of her son, E. R. Oleason and
family, and expects to remain during
the winter. Her many friends are
glad to welcome her.

who recently moved to Sllverton. will
be pleased to know that she Is plan
ning to return to Central Point to

grange hall.
After disposing of various business
projects, a program of group singing
and a one-act play waa enjoyed. Cast
of characters: Marlon Blackford, Will
Foley and John Blackford.
The play waa followed by an
nouncement of the marriage of two
popular grange members. Miss Hllde
gerd Lange. to Drury T, Pierce, In the
unique manner of holding a mock
trial of the groom, for having taken
a wife during a year of depression.
He waa finally paroled to hla wife,
pending good behavior.
Juvenile group will furnish the
program for the next meeting of the
grange, Dec. 16. This will be a Christ
mas theme, directed by Juvenile ma
tron, Lola Blackford.
Plans for Joint Installation of offi
cers by the Pomona grange are not
definitely decided, but will probably
be on Sunday, Dee. 17 following the
church hour, when a' covered dlh
luncheon will be served prior to the
vork which will begin at 3 o'clock.
