A talk for "the good of the order"
wa given by Hiram Moore. The new
overseer made a plea in behalf of
general helpfulness, recommending
that the Grange show more civic
spirit and render aid to those out
side of the Grange as well as to
members.
Enterprise went on record with a
new plan whereby new members be
allowed to help earn their Initial ad
mission fees.
Enterprise Grange recently took 18
new members to Sams Valley Grange
for Initiation in the first and second
degrees.
Mrs. Catharine Law, Mrs. Vivian
Norman Barto and Mr. and Mrs. John
R. Bowen attended the special meet
ing held at Ftultdale Grange near
Grant Pass November 11.
At this meeting the sixth degree
work was put on by the past state
master, George Palmlter, assisted by
the present state officer's master, Ray
GUI; lecturer, Marie Flint McCall; i
Flora, Mildred Croln; Ceres, Alloa ,
Hamilton and several Pomona offi
cers. Ten brother and sisters ware Initi
ated In the sixth degree with the
usual beautiful ceremony.
Vivian Norman Barto of Enterprise
was initiated in the sixth degree at
this ceremony.
The state officers were completing
a two thousand mile trip, having
visited ten different sections ot the
state, and Initiated 146 new sixth
degree members.
This trip waa made previous to the
national convention at Boise, Idaho,
for the purpose of obtaining general
data for reports. to National Grange
and a course of Instruction and
strengthening of Orange plan and
project for the coming year.
