CHRISTMAS TRADE
WILL BE HEAVIER
America's Christmas pack will be
many times larger this year than It
was a year ago. And fudging by or
ders for Christmas presents that al
ready are In Santa Claua will need a
good-sized fleet of trucks to augment
his flock of reindeer. This Is the ob
servation of Morris B. Leonard of the
Leonard Electric company. Frigidalre
dealer In this section.
Christmas packages will be bulkier
than ever, says Mr. Leonard, who
bases his Interpretation of holiday
trends on reports showing that use
ful articles are dominating gift lists.
"Purchases of Frigldaires for Christ
mas gifts," said Mr. Leonard "are re
ported from every part of the United
States. Many of these purchases were
arranged for a long time ago. with the
result that they are practically all
paid for by this time.
"In many cases an entire family
has banded together for the purpose
of buying a Frigidalre as a family
Christmas gift. The experience of
the past few years has taught the
American family the value of a dollar
and this year's buying shows plainly
that the household appliance field
Is benefiting from this trend.
"Analysis of the purchasing trend
shows clearly that the American pub
lic is becoming more and more con
scious of the important part that
proper refrigeration plays in the pres
ervation of health, as well as of the
economies that can be effected
through this means'

A LIQUID LAXATIVE
BEST FOR CHILDREN
(For three reasons explained below)
Did you know a laxative that
works just right for you, can
work havoc with a child?
That the laxative habit can
be contracted at the age of six?
And that the wrong laxa
tive can give children chronic
constipation before their tenth
birthday?
You wouldn't give your
children a powerful headache
powder! You shouldn't give
them a violent cathartic.
Parents Aroused At Last!
Doctors urge the use of a
liquid laxative for children;
preferably one with senna. A
liquid laxative can be regu
lated as to dose. The natural
laxative action of eenna does
not weaken the bowels.
Druggists report increasing
sales of liquid laxatives.
Mothers are rapidly discover
ing the advantage of the liquid
form. Thousands of cases of
ill-health and half-health in
children are being clenred-up
by stopping all use of laxa
tives of adult strength.
Give Them a Chance!
The preparation most
favored for child use is Cali
fornia Syrup of Figs. It is a
fruity syrup with the right
amount of senna for gentle
stimulation of a child's bowels.
It gives the right kind of help.
If the bowels aren't moving
regularly and thoroughly,
don't give any medicine that
drains the system dry. Give a
liquid senna preparation like
California Syrup of Figs. A
little every day, and reduce the
dose each day. At the end of
one week stop. You'll be
surprised how long it will be
before the bowels need any
further help. It may be months.
Be sure you get the real
California Syrup of Figs, with
"California" on the label. If
you get the right preparation,
and use it the right way, you
can absolutely end all worry
over constant sluggish spells,
bilious, attacks, constipation.
All druggists keep California
Syrup of Figs, ready for use.
It is highly recommended for
regulating children, and to
undo the mischief done by
habit-forming laxatives.
