Austin Mays, who ha been visiting
in Los Angeles for two weeks, re
turned Monday.

ley Community club last Friday even
ing at th clubhouse was a success.
Mrs. Mark True, Mrs. Henry Stenrud
and Mrs. Herman Helm, who are on
the dance committee, were In charge.
Home extension unit met at the
clubhouse Tuesday with a good at
tendance of Intel es ted ladles. Mrs.
Archie Klncald and Mrs. True ex
plained the methods of using milk
in various way In cooking. The
ladle present then prepared several
of these dishes for the noon lunch
eon, which was supplemented with
fruit salad and dessert. In the
afternoon, auggeatlons for Christmas
presents prepared by Mr. Mack home
demonstration agent, were given to
the ladles. The third meeting will oe
held December 1, with Mrs. Mack
present, demonstrating the different
use of cheess.
B. 8. Lay, proprietor of Lay's auto
camp, returned Thursday from in-
coma, where he had been visiting for
week.
A. L- Peachy returned Wednesday
from Baldy Mountain lookout sta
tion. Mr. Peachey had spent the
summer at this station as fire war
den. He will spend the winter at
his home In this dlstlrct.
Mrs. Richard C. Joy appeared on
the Civic club program In several
vocal solos, Tuesday.
Parent-Teacher association will hold
Its November meeting at the school-
house Friday evening, November 17.

marv pupils. Mrs. Susanne Homea
Carter will give a talk on school
work. William Ford will give
Thanksgiving story, and Mr. Willis

annual election of officers,
Floyd Charley, who waa elected
master at this meeting, served the
Orange In that capacity for two years
when It waa first organised.
Tom Stanley, elected overseer, spent
the psst year In th gatekeeper's sta
tion. Julia Sldley, elected lecturer at
this meeting, held the same office
several years ago, and was also secre
tary when Orange was organized.
llermsn Meyer, Jr., re-elected stew-
srd, hss also served aa asslstsnt stew
ard. Harry Tonn, who was re -elected
asslstsnt steward, served three years
as overseer.
Anna Tonn, newly elected chsplaln,
ha been treasurer of the Orange and
also lecturer.
Mabel Stanley was re-elected treas
urer for th ensuing year.
Secretary Myrtl Charley, who waa
also re-elected, hss served in previ
ous years as Cere and as lady assist
ant stewsrd.
Wallace Ragedale was elected gat
keeper.
Helen Sldley, elected Cere, held
the office of Pomona a few years ago.
Donna Brown, who was elected Po
mona, once served as Flors.

Reed Charley, elected chairman of
the executive committee, served two
year as master and also as overseer,

Wednesday at the clubhouse, with 38
friends and members present.

sided In the absence of Mrs. Homer
Moore, presldont. During the busi
ness meeting Mrs. Clara Klncald gav
the report of the district federation.
The club voted to subscribe for th
publtcetlon "The Ctub Woman." for
each member of the club, making It
a 100 per cent club, and therejby re
ceiving the special rate. A motion
to hire someone to do the foil house
cleaning In place of the members do
ing It slso carried.
The program began wltjh group sinn
ing. Two readings were given by
Mrs. Wade Wallls. Mrs. Richard Joy
sang a group of songs,' accompanying
herself on the pJano. Twelve boys
and girl from the primary depart
ment, dressed in costumes, sang sev
eral two-part wings, led by their
teacher. Miss Eunice Hagar. Dainty
refreshment, were served from a
table deoorated with a centerplec
expressing a bountiful harvest.-
Next meeting will be December IS.
