To Pish and Hunt Frank D. Madi
son and hla son-in-law Charles O.
Martin arrived on Saturday's Shasta
to spend several days here and in the
Klamath country. They left for the
Madison home on Rogue river where
they will do rome fishing before going
duck hunting In Klamath.

Visits Crater D. 8. Libbey. natural
ist at Crater Lake national park, made
a trip Wednesday to Newberry Crater
In the Paulina. Lake and East Lake
section of Deschutes county. He said
yesterday that he plans to make an
other trip there, later, for fishing, and
stated that It Is possible a great deal
of geological work can be done there.
SO Years In Oregon Mr. and Mrs.
H. L. Wilson and two children left
Indiana thirty years ago. on October
20, and alter five days on the road,
stopped at Roseburg, where they made
their home until 1007, Mr. Wilson re
lated Friday. In 1907 they moved to
Medford and have made their home
here since. Mr. Wilson 1 with Weeks
and Orr furniture store here.
Funeral In Roseburg Mrs. T. B.
Virden and daughters of Roseburg
were passengers on the Shasta Satur
day, en route to Roseburg to attend
funeral services for Mr. Virden, who
died Thursday in the Southern Pacific ,
hospital at San Francisco. Mr. Virden
has been with the Southern Pacific
company for a number of years, and
made runs to Medford on the trains
for some time. He was 56 at the time
of his death.

sulted from the blase, which waa said
to have started from a grass fire.

al park is In good condition, D. S. Lib

from his place Friday night.

Corwln Reports Paul Corwln of
1112 East Main street, driving the
Davis Transfer truck which collided
Into a Ftord truck Friday afternoon at
4:15 o'clock, filed an accident report
at the city police station. The col
lision was at the corner of Fourth
and Front streets, and the impact
turned the Ford truck over.
Coyotes Killed The coyote popula
tion of Jackson county was lessened
by three yesterday, according to the
report at the county clerk's office
Coke trite of Jacksonville received
a three-dollar bounty for killing a coy
ote. Harold Zundel of Lake Creek re
ceived six dollars for bringing in two.
and William Shoemaker of Gold Hill
was paid a three dollar bounty.

Three army officers from Illinois
have reported to the district CCC
headquartera here and will Immedi
ately take up their posts of duty In
this section. First Lieut. Charles Leon
Emerson, cavalry reserve, and Capt.
Jack Drew, field artillery reserve, will
go to the new winter camp at Rand
ranger station.
Captain John Pulford will be with
the Wineglass company now at An
nie Springs.
A listing of winter camps In the
sixth corps area has been Issued,
and shows that 270 camps are being
efltabllahed this winter In the section.
Ten are listed under the Medford
headquarters, with the same number
for Eugene. All are being taken from
the Baker district.
Locations, according to district

ding, Cel., 17; Eureka, Cal., 10; Med
ford. 10; Eugene. 10; Vancouver,
