Neighbor ot Woodcraft Circle met at
the Orange hall Thursday with ft
fairly good attendance. A new mem
ber, Mrs. Lock wood, was given the
obligation of the order. Refresh
ments were served. Next regular
meeting of the circle will be Octo
ber 6 and after the business meet
ing has adjourned, a card party will
be held. All In the community are
invited. Refreshments will be serv
ed. Winter calendar for the Presbyter
Ian church has been outlined. Sep
tember 34 will begin Rally week,
which will close the following Sun
day. September 37 Is church night, with
devotional exercises. Representatives
from the Ladles' Aid and Missionary
societies will give brief talks on their
plans. The social hour wll follow,
under the direction of Mrs. O. O.
Maust. Ladles' Aid society will serve
the refreshments.
Executive board of the synod leal
met at the Presbyterian church Mon
day. The meeting commenced at
10:30 and continued into the after
noon. Lunch was served at noon.
Twenty-eight ladles were present,
representing churches of Klamath
Falls. Jacksonville,- Ashland, Medford,
Grants Pass and Phoenix. During
the business session ft proposed con
stitution for the synod leal was read
and approved. Mrs. Ralph S. Pet
erson was eleoted delegate of the
Southern Oregon Presbytery to the
meeting at Portland In October Mrs.
Otto Nledermeyer of Jacksonville was
elected alternate.
Esther McRuer from New York,
young peoples director for the Board
of National Missions, will be in Med
ford October 30 to speak. This meet
ing will be held for the special bene
fit of the Presbyterian churches in
this locality.
