Mrs. Carl Grant, accompanied by
her daughter, Zella Mae, and Mis
Marjorle Paley, aturned last week
from a motor trip of 13,500 miles,
which took the three through the
east, west, north and south of the
United States, Including a visit to
the World's fair, many historic spots
In the east snd the national park of
the west.
Leaving Medford June 10. with
Mrs. Orant at the wheel, the three
motored to the Yellowstone national
park, the Black Hills of Dakota, and
on to tha World's fair, where they
spent two weeks.
From Chicago they continued thru
Pennsylvania, where they were guests
of relatlvea and friends for three
weeks at Rochester, then on to Niag
ara rails, where they Included Can
ada In their Journey, by stsylng on
the Canadian side.
Portland, Maine, the moat northern
point visited wsa next In their Itin
erary. Motoring to Boston for a
short stay, tha three found the trip
on to New York an easy on and
spent three days there visiting
friends snd msny points of Interest,
before continuing to Washington,
D. C.
The Journey homeward wsa made
via tha southern rout snd Included
very Interesting stays In Mlsml and
New Orleans. Tha Orand Canyon wsa
next viewed by the Oregon travellera
and a holiday at Long Beach enjoyed
with Mrs. Grant'a mother. In San
Jose, a short stay with Mr. Grant,
who was on business In the south,
waa enjoyed, then the three contin
ued to San Francisco and home.
All mountain ranges of the United
States were Included In the trip and
Miss Paley, in discussing the Journey
yesterday said alia enjoyed th
"Rockies" most. Comparing sections
of the United States, however, she
voiced a decided preference tor little
Old New England.

Paso, Texas, aha said was disappoint'

In Washington, D. C, th group
went through the White House and
the congressional buildings. The Lin
