In the bath room of the Stanford
campus cottage where Aliene Thorpe
Lamson was found dead, was barred
Monday from the murder trial of her
husband. David A. Lamson.
The defense, for which Dr. Hetn
rlch was testifying, had sought his
Interpretation of the spots as a foun
dation to dispute the states' sugges
tion that Lamson killed his wife with
an iron pipe, and to possibly advance
the contention that she died as the
result of an accidental fall.
E. M; Rea, defense attorney, put
several questions to Heinrlch, but the
state successfully objected on the
ground that his examination was
made two or more weeks after the
tragedy and that a prosecution wit
serious situation or overcrowding
ness had testified the bath room had
been partially cleaned before then.
Rea persisted In an attempt to cir
cumvent the state's objection by
changing the form of his queries and
by -seeking to compare photographs
taken oy Heinrlch with others made
by police Investigators which had
been previously admitted. After a
long huddle among attorneys the de
fense offered the Heinrlch photo
graphs In evidence and again the
state objected, successfully. Other
pictures taken by Heinrlch showing
the pc-sltlon of statlouary objects In
the bath room but not with .refer
ence of blood spots were admitted on
the stipulation that any blood spots
shown would not be considered.

School
Days . .
Looking back
my high school
just a few years ago,
I realize now that
they were filled with care-free pleasure
that, with added years and responsi
bilities, can never be enjoyed again. . , .
The period spent in school is, without
doubt, one of Life's most pleasant and
, happy periods. ... I wish now that. I
had more to remind me of my school
days to recall the' many chums with
whom I spent many a happy hour. . . .
Photographs would bring back these
memories. . . . Kay I urge parents and
students to give a thought to photo
graphs so that they may live again their
pleasant school days in years to come.
