The Wedding Cake of the Gala-Pagos
UR World's food tour finds us in the Archipelago De Gala Pagos where, on the
Island De Fernandina Isabela. we attend r.l Pn. w.rld.nr.
The native festivities have progressed through the Gala Pagos ceremonial dance,
now refined, yet a heritage of the primitive days. One old custom, however, remains
the severance of all ties with the bride's srirlhood hnma hr friends and her
family. As the superstition of the Wedding ring remains with us, so this old superstition '
clings to them, and the cutting of the wedding cake is symbolical of the severance of all 4
