been somewhat Improved from all
sections.
There was no general change In
the butter market situation here for
the day. On tbe open market prices
appeared steady. A decrease in local
churning as well as outside receipts
was noted.
Better feeling was Indicated In the
market for live chickens here for the
day with all sorts in call. 8hortage
of light weight broilers continued
acute.
Market for turkeys remained firm.
A few live broilers were arriving and
selling around 16-18o lb. with some
fairly good dressed hens around 18
20c lb.
Top quality country killed calves
continued scarce and firmly priced

at 8o top. Beef remained depressed.
Further reduction In cantaloupe
prices was shown here with sn ex

mand. Market on tomatoes was Just hold
ing Its own hers with rapid ups and
downs at primary points.
