F. Crouch, local sales manager of
Swlftic company, today announced
that his company had signed a la
bor code under the national recovery
act.
"Wo are glad to cooperate with
President Roosevelt's recovery pro
gram," he stated. "As a member
of the Instlute of American Meat
Packers, Swift Ss company has been
working for weeks to secure code
under which we could operate. A
committee from the Institute has
been at Washington and principals
from many companies have made
trips to Washington from time to
time to cooperate with this commit
tee and wlto the government.
"We believe that under the terms
of the code worked out with the
government, the meat packing Indus
try will be enabled to cooperate fully
with the NRA In a recovery program.
We are proud of the fact that we
can display the blue eagle, official
emblem of the NRA. The emblem

bodies of four persons drowned yester
day when their motor boat overturned
during a storm. A fifth body was re
covered last night.
The five victims were:

Virgil R. Brown of Sheridan, wyo.,
and Brown's two-year-old daughter,

Edward Smith and his wife, known
