pose of arranging bonds for Banks on
Indictments charging criminal libel
and criminal syndicalism. He aad he
was not present all of the season.
LaDleu testified that Jones, Fehl,
Amos W. Walker and Bank, were
present, and when Sheriff Bcherraer
horn. convicted of the same charge

securing the approval of the court to
the bonds, he was accompanied by
Attorney Elton Watklns of Portland,
attorney for Bchermerhorn In the re
count proceedings. LaDleu said when
the meeting dispersed Watklns and
Schermerhorn went to the sheriff's

ated the testimony of her daughter,

The trial has speeded up, and It is
now expected that the chief defense
case will be completed by Wednesday
noon.
