stage for Crater Lake national park,
where they plan to spend the day.

Collision Reported John T. Drew
and William Davison of Talent filed
accident reports at the city polle
station concerning a collision Tues
day evening at 8:15 o'clock at the
corner of Eleventh and Fir streets.
According to Mr. Davison's report, he
was blinded by the sun, and did not
see the approaching car.
Breaks Bicycle John S. Conner of
route four, was driving the automobile
which broke the bicycle belonging to
Wilson Church. The bicycle was lying
In the street In front of the latter 'a
home at 433 North Bartlett street.
Conner gave the name of his sister.

riers from the Medlord post office,

leaving this afternoon for The Dalles.
Ore., to attend the state rural mall
carriers convention. Mr. Harvey is a
delegate from Medford. while Mr.
Newland will extend fraternal greet
ings and invite the earners to the
state convention of city carriers and
clerks, in Medford, next year.
McCracken to Speak Gordon Mc
cracken, farmer of the Ashland dis
trict, will speak tomorrow evening at
7 o'clock from station KMED In the
repeal campaign outlined by the
Jackson County Repeal league. He
la among prominent residents of the
valley talking for repeal of the 18th
amendment and urging voters to go
to the polls July 21. Moore Hamilton,
president of the Younge Democratic
club of Jackson county, spoke today
noon, urging the repeal as endorse
ment of President Franklin D. Roose
velt's recovery program and to elimi
nate prohibition as the Issue In all
political campaigns. "During the past
two decades, he stated, every na
tional Issue has been overshadowed
by prohibition, which should not be
the paramount issue."

terian theatre for three days starting
today, might well be called the
"Grand Hotel" of musical comedy.

Friday night opened with a brief ad
dress on the repeal of the prohibi
tion amendment, by Messrs. Billings
and Hall, followed by a solo by Mrs.
Emmet Nealon, accompanied by Mrs.
Sims; readings, Janice Hesselgrave,
Mrs. Hazel Atkins, Lowell Blackford
and Wayne Smith; duet, Mrs. Spar
row and daughter, Miss Harriet Spar
row; solo, Harriet Sparrow; "A Fish
Story." Everett Atkins and assistants;
a poem, composed by F. M. Waters,
Ntalonal Grange organizer, was given
by Tom Pankey.
After business was concluded, Wor
thy Master Warren Patterson gave I
report on the recent convention in
Pendleton. EigfH guests were pres
ent. Helpful talks were given by
Messrs. Sims, E. Nealon and Mrs. O.
T. Wilson of Sams Valley. Refresh
men were served by the H. E. com
mittee.
Mrs. Hague announced that H. E.
O. members and their families will
hold an all-day picnic In Ashland
park July 26. A Grange picnic Is to
be held at Bandon July 15, to which
all Grangers are welcome.
Mrs. Lottie Gregory will be hostess
to the Golden Link class July 14, the
place of meeting being changed from
the home of Mrs. Minnie Weaver to
that cf Mrs. Gregory.
