HlUah's summer ceremonial for 1033
will be held at Ashland, the home or
tha southern Oregon Shrine temple,
tomorrow under the direction of Po
tentate A. K. Caaa and hie divan. A
committee, selected from the nobility
by Potentate Case and beaded by
Cbief Rabban O. O. Alenderfer, baa
been busy for several weeks perfect
ing the program for. the first gather
ing of Hillah Shriners since last fall,
when a similar ceremonial waa staged
In the Utbla City. This program
will be replete with parade of uni
formed bodies, the presentation of
tha first, second and third sections
at the Ashland Armory and a golf
tournament when noblee will vie on
the beautiful Ashland course for the
coveted Hillah Cup.
The ceremonial wlU be conducted
along the line of the very successful
Hillah aesalon of laat fall. Novices
are being groomed for their pilgrim
age acroea the acorchlng aanda under
th. watchful eye of Director Dade
Terrett and hta patrol wrecking crew
and some new and novel stunts have
been promised for the second section,
Before the ceremonial sessions at
. the Armory, the Hillah patrol, under
Captain Rex Barnett, will appear In
the colorful parade on Aabland streets.
N. O. Wheeler's drum corps, the
Klamath Falls unit of HlUah's march
ing bodies, will also appear In this
parade with Ward Croft'a fine Bhrlce
band.
The golf tournament on the Aab
land course, which will be on of
the Important features of the after
noon, will aee Hlllah'a outstanding
golfera competing for the BlUab cup.

A sharp Increase in new business for
the week ending June 17 waa re
ported today by the Western Pine as
sociation. The new business smount
ed to 63,343,000 feet, about S per
cent above the three-year weekly av
erage tor june, and 33 per cent
greater than the previous week. Dur
ing the week 73 of the 118 member
mills were in oporstlon.
Shlpmnts for the week ar 60,
990,000 feet, and production 43 380,
000 feet, putting production at 31.8
per cent of capacity compared with
30.1 per cent for the previous week,
and 14 per cent for the year to date.
Current ordera were 48 per cent of
aawmlll capacity.

ture deliveries of wheat, oats and rya
jumped late today to beyond season
high price records.
Reports were current Indicating tre
mendous crop damage had been done
the northwest by recent heat and
drought, especially in the Dakota and
Minnesota. Unofficial estimates were
that the 1933 probable production of
wheat In the United States would fall
belo wthe actual domestic disappear
ance In recent years.
A rush of general commission house
purchasing lifted prices sharply late
and far mora than offset early de
clines. Wheat closed buoyant, at the day's
top level, l-2 above yesterday's
fin lah, corn up. oats ad
vanced and provisions 5 to 10 cents
down.
Using an alrplanu flying at 90 miles
an hour, a Tulare, Cal., orchard 1st
dusts with sulphur 2,380 acres of fruit
trees In 28 hours.
Several hundred ponderose pines
and Douglas firs have been planted
on the Uinta national forest in Utah
for experimental purposes.
