Chapter, a ugh ten of the American
Revolution were brought to a close
on Saturday June 17th when the
member met for their annual picnic
and Flag day observance. The meet
ing waa held In Mra. B. B. Smith's
lovely garden on West Eleventh street
and the picnic luncheon waa served
at one o'clock, with Miss Sara Van
Meter, Mrs. F. O. Thayer and Mrs.
Ralph Spencer assisting the hostess.
Mra. M. M. Morris, the newly elect
ed regent, presided at the meeting
which waa opened by singing ."Amer
ica," followed by the pledge to the
flag, the recitation of the American
creed and prayer by the chaplain. A
gift of valuable clippings on Oregon
history, from Mrs. Rose Adslt waa
announced. These old clipping were
collected by Mlas Julia Fielder, who
was a charter member, and will be
added to the chapter's scrapbooka.
