12th. 1933, declared Its Intention to
vacate the alley in Block 41, Original
Town, in the City of Medford, Oregon,
and that aald Council will convene
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P. M. on
the 18th day of July. 1933. at the
Council Chamber in the City Hall.

thony J. Diamond, Alaskan delegate,
and several senators on the commit
tee, it appeared today that the nomi
nation of Oeorge F. Alexander of Ore
gon, to be district Judge of division
No. 1 of Alaska, would not be con
firmed before sine die adjournment. .
Alexander, Portland attorney, was
nominated by the presidont early last
week, and today had not been re
ported out of the committee.

The river la at high stage due to
heavy rains above. Light rain fell
here during the- past week, helping

"Growing Up " the last of a series of
