Clatous McCredle today recehed a
letter from Chaplain I. L. Rodstrom
of Henry W. Lawton Camp No. 1.
Denver, Colo., seeking the where
abouts of Dr. Emily Collar, an osteo
path who made her home In Medford
In 1928. Rodstrom Is anxious to ob
tain the war record of Dr. Collar's
deceased brother, he stated.

McClanahan Pined Allan P. Mc-
Clanahan was fined 25 In Justice
court by Judge W. R. Coleman, on a
charge of reckless driving. McOlana-
han was driver of one of the auto
mobiles figuring In the collision at
the corner of Fifth and Central
streets Tuesday evening, wrecking the
automobile driven by Mrs. Bessie Mc
Conochle, and a state police car park
ed on the street.
In Medford Today Wm. Schmidt,
who is developing a park for the pub
lic, to be known as "Oregon Switzer
land." waa a visitors in Medford thiA
morning. The park Is located In the
Roxy Ann district, and two years will
be required for all of the Improve
ments to be made, Mr. Schmidt said

persons to see the natural beauties
of the place. A danco pavilion and
other constructions will be, put in
the park later, according to present
plans. '

SAN FRANCISCO. June 3. (AP)
Increased employment In Industrial
plants In Oregon was noted today
in a report by the federal reserve
bank for April, Involving 124 firms
In that state.
The report showed a 7 per cent In
crease In wage earners and 13 per
cent In total payrolls aa applying to
the average weekly wages paid. Slight
declines were reported In the paper
and printing trades and miscellane
ous groups.
As compared with April. 1033, the
decrease In the number of all em
ployes was 0 per cent and the pay
roll decrease 10 per cent. Both the
number of employed and the payrolls
in the textile group were "slightly
higher" than In the corresponding
month of 1932.

At eight o'clock tomorrow morning,
69 Jackson county and 34 Josephine
county young men, who have been
selected locally for the civilian con
servation corps camps, will report at
the fairgrounds to be given physical
examinations, and to be assigned
their clothing end other supplies.
Also on Saturday morning, 68 boys
from Klamath Falls will report to
Cliff Springs camp for enrollment,
and Monday, 50 from Coos county
and 7 from Curry county will report
at Camp Agness.
A rear detachment of 75 men Is
scheduled to arrive In Marshfleld to
morrow morning and continue to
Gold Beach, from which place they
will make the trip to Agness by boat.
Hie radio station being set up at
the C. C. C. headquarters here, will
be known as station WUBG, lt was
announced today. Don Shugg of
Huntington Park, Calif., Is In charge
of erecting the station, and Edwin
Grlnstead of North Bend. Ore., ts
second operator. The station la be
ing equipped for broadcasting to the
various camps.

relief for the 18 land grant counties
in Oregon. Is to be considered at a
meeting to be held In Eugent tonight.
Representatives of all the affected
counttea have been called to the con
ference. Attorney Cordon, who was a
membfr of the delegation on which
In 192d drafted the O & O grant land
bill and secured Its passage through
congress, will fly to Washington, If
authorized at the meeting In an ef
fort to secure the federal money now
due.

Pendleton, Ore., June 2. (AP)
Jim Badroads, one of the threa
chtefa of the Umattlta Indian res
ervation, died late Thursday at the
age of 08 from pneumonia. He waa
one of the few Indiana who con
tinued to wear the long hair bralda
and waa a familiar figure In the an
nual roundup.
