number of visitors can be attracted

showing the lakes, streams and hunt

. According to information received
at the Chamber of Commerce by Jack
Swem, newly appointed chairman of
the Intercity visitation committee,
Medford citizens will be afforded an
opportunity to see the U. S. S. Con
stitution next week. The Crescent
City chamber of commerce has In
formed the local orgunlzatlon that
the eld frigate will anchor off Point
St. Oeorge at Crescent City for one
hour on Thursday. May 4. during the
daytime, and it Is expected that
many residents of the Rogue River
vnllcy will avail themselves of the
opportunity to see the grand old
ship.
It has not yet been determined
whether visitors will be able to get
a closeup view or whether they will
be permitted to go aboard, but tls
information will be available soon
and will be announced later.
Those who expect to go to Cres
cent City should keep In touch with
the Chamber of Commerce so they
can obtain the correct Information,
as it Is not ehe desire of the cham
ber to urge local persons to make
the Journey unless the ship can be
viewed from a reasonably short dis
tance. .
