NEW YORK, April 31. (AP) W6t does It mull la dollars nd cents?
This waa the question on Innumerable Hps today, not only those of
butchers, bakers and candlestick: makers, but of leading bankers, as mar
keta were convulsed by news the United States had suspended the gold
standard.
While clear answers to the question
were lacking, pending development
of Washington's controlled Inflation
program, It was agreed In many 11
nanolal and economic quartera It
ahould mean more Joba.
Whether the price rise coincident to
reduced purchasing power of the dol

lematical. That, it was explained,
would depend upon the levels at
which orlcea are finally stabilised.
Great Britain, since abandonment
of the sold standard there In
has kept the coat of living relatively

In the main, bankera and econo

many of which have been quoted se

would bring the profit motive Into
play again, revive business, and re

BIBLE LEADS SCIENCE
Evangelist" Teddy Leavltt, conduct.
Ing evangelistic meeting at the
Christian church, spoke Isat night on
the aubject: "Science and the Bible"
He ssld In part: "We sometimes hear
the statement tbat there la conflict
between science snd the Bible snd
that the Bible will not etand the test
of science.
"I wish to state that the Bible will
stand the test of any scientific fact
ever discovered. It may not stand
the test of scientific theories, but
It will fact. If the Bible had been
In harmony with scientific theories
of 80 years sgo It would bo out of
date now. Facts do not change, but
theories do. Too many teachers ac
cept theories before they are proven
facts.
"The Bible la not a text book on
science, snd yet It contains scien
tific truths unknown to mankind for
centuries. The Bible tells us the earth
la round and hangs In space. These
facta were not known by science un
til the time of Capernleua A. D. It'll,
but they were recorded In the Bible
over 3000 years before that. The Bible
tells us thst the sir has weight Job
38:35.
"This statement was made UO0
B. O. No scientist before asllleo
(1830 A. D.) waa aware of that fact.
After Lord Rosas Invented his tele
scope, It was discovered that there
wss a great empty space In the nor
thern heavens. In all other parts
of the heavens stars were found, but
here wss a vast apace without a single
star. This was considered a great di'
covery. But the Bible proclaimed
that fact 9900 years before science
discovered It.
"For centuries scientists proclaimed
that the moon was a luminous body
like the sun. It was considered
grest discovery when It wsa found
thst It did not shine of Itself, but
only reflected the sunlight. Job said
In 1900 B. C "The moon, it shtneth
not." "
Tonight the Evangelist will speak
on the subject: "The Great Salva
tion." Services every night except
Monday.

"Then I thought of taking All
Bran. I started eating a cereal dish
ful two or three times a day.
"It has been over a year now
since I ate that first dish of bran,
but from that day to this I have had
the plcnsure of enjoying the proper
functioning of the digestive organs.
"Thanks to All-Bran. E still eat
it regularly and like it better all
the time." Lester Bartholomew,
Cadillac, Mich.
Constinatlon la usuallv dun to
lack of "bulk" to exercise the intes
tines, and vitamin B to promote
elimination. All-Bran supplies
both, as well aa iron for the blood.
The "bulk" In All-Bran Is much
like that of leafy vegetables. Cer
tainly this food is more natural
than taking harmful patent medi

will overcome most types of consti

cases. If not relieved this way, see
