district yesterday filed suit against of tnB charge of O. L. Goss, local
R. A. Miller, a salesman, and the : unemployed leader, that Banks plot-
C. E. Gates Auto company for $15.-
079.95, for alleged damages sustained
in an auto accident near the Reese
creek school last July.
The complaint asserts that Miller
placed the auto in the hands of

alleged while going at a high rate of
speed, the auto overturned on a
curve near the Reese creek school-

that he should have Inquired into

Representatives of the auto con
cern claim that Densmore secured
the use of the auto under repre

to make a trip to town, and that the
auto was the property of Miller, who
was demonstrating the auto.
They further state that the auto
company had no connection with the

ted the kidnaping of two county of'
flclals, and a private citizen, as part
of a desperate fantastic plot to seize
control of Jackson county:
At Medford, Ore., one George
Codding, former Valley City man
was to be kidnaped by a so
called "Good Government con
gress." Ransom was demanded
for his resignation.
The ballot thefts and the Pres
cott murder, switched public Inter
est, and authorities were strangely
silent on Goff'a disclosures. It is
known the officials knew of the
existence of the plot, and had taken
precautions. One report said there
was a guard maintained on the
proposed "hide-out" cabin In the
hills. The kidnaping was to be a
"great secret." Codding was to re
sign, and a ransom, and the episode
was to be heralded as victory for
law and order.
