Woman's Relief Corps No. 37, Central
Point, served dinner Wednesday In
their hall over the Ross Confectionery
and were highly gratified with the
result, there being 118 people served,

ladles from Gold Hill, one from Butte
Falls and one from Portland were

Mr. and Mra. J. H. Meier arrived
Thursday from Argentina. South
America to visit his sister and brother-in-law.
Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Yakel
and family, whom he has not seen
for more than 20 years. Mr. and Mra.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Boden. who
arrived in Los Angeles on the same
afternoon the earthquake occurred,
remained there for a several days'
visit with relatives and friends. They
have returned to the valley and are
now at home to their friends at Mlra
Vista Orchards. Mrs. Boden says she
la truly glad to be back In southern
Oregon.
Mrs. Kuhn and son. Dale, of Butte
Falls, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. E.
C. Faber. Mr. Kuhn la In charge of
the Faber store at Butte Fulls.
Adjutant Laura B. Jones of Port
land, state representative of the Vol
unteers of America, which was form
ed by Balllngton Booth In 1896 called
at the W. R. C. hall Wednesday,
while en route to Medford. Mrs,
Jones has represented this atate for
22 years.
Mr. and Mra. Olem Flnley were
business visitors In Ashland Wednes
day. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer of Lake
Creek were Sunday guests of their
son, Heury Meyer. Jr., and family.
Central Point Grange wtll meet the
night of Aprlt 7. The program will
be given by the high school, before
the business session and will begin
at 8:00 o'clock. The nice, new sign
over the Orange hall was made and
put In place by A. W. Ayres.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Salads have
returned from Corona do. Calif., where
they spent the winter.
Miss Arlene Hay entertained Tues
day evening with a bridge party for
a few friends at her home.
Miss Mary Mee spent last week with
relatives and friends In Medford.

itor In Klamath Falls Wednesday.

where she has been postmistress for
10 years

BUTTE FALLS. April 3. (Spl.)
Hustlers Club met with Mrs. Everett
Moore March 30. sixteen members
were present and all enjoyed the au
tomobile ride to the flah hatchery
grounds, the April fool wind-up of
Vie Pollyanna game and the delight
ful refreshments. Next meeting will
be with Mrs. Joe Hlbbard April 13.
At this meeting the members will
begin work for the fall bazaar.

Tuesday and Wednesday visiting
Mrs, Faber In Central Point, return
ing home Thursday morning.

the Rogue River cowboya, Bert and

matism. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Patton write
from Los Angeles that they survived
the earthquakes but did not enjoy
them.
An Easter program will be given
at the church Easter morning: also
one will be given in the evening. Dr.
Bray of Medford will speak In .the
evening.
The work on the city water ptpes
la completed. The first of the week
the work was rushed through.
