Tired of Fehl's OM Line.
To the Editor:
Please allow me to state through
your columns that In my opinion
"Your Humble Servant's" statement",
publlrhed Saturday in the Ashland
Tidings is typical of his Inconsist
encies with which "w have become
very familiar, "Our "estlmahle"
county judge, by his own statement,
says he has always stood for Justice
and law enforcement through the
orderly process of a democratic form
of government.
"Orderly democratic form of gov
ernment!" Shade of Caesar! Do the
records of the past few weeks verify
that atatement? Were those "Oood
Government Congress" meetings
wher Judge Fehl was one of the
leading orators, and where ropes,
nooses, revolutions and seizure of the
county government were the pass
words, ths product . of the orderly
processes of a democratic form of
govornment? if so, then "Russia"
for me. Trosky and Lenlne for com
missioners (with apologies to the de
ceases Lenine); Zangara for county
Judge and Al Capone for sheriff.
Is it orderly and democratic to
seek to remove from office those of
ficial who have been elected by the
people, in order that one man might
be dictator and fill tiose offices with
men of his own choosing? If so, then
my Interpretation of democracy is in
error. Wo wish to plve Judge Pehll
credit for "deploring" the coldblooded
murder of George Prescott, but -ve
have not forgotten, either, another
officor whose name was Prescott,
Most of us deplored his murder while
discharging his duties, also.
Set ma to me It Is about time for
"Earl" to confess that his old polit
ical tine la worn to a frazzle.
