fer retirement to a 850,000 salary for
the 1933 season but ,he believes his
financial disagreement with the New
York Yankeea management cau be
settled "without a lot ot trouble.'
"Financial conditions throughout
the country have not changed my
mind In anyway regarding my 1033
contract," he said here last night.
"I believe I am worth more to the
Yankees than 150,000 and I will re

made a bad landing in a cactus bed.
The new Oaks pilot faces grief In
the outfield, French Uhalt, center
fielder, and Smll Matlho. right field
er, ar holdouts. Uhalt may be
traded. He prefers to play for some
other club, Mailho has little reason
to be a holdout. He had an ordinary
season In 1933 and Is far from being
a star.
Scott Temperamental.
Otherwise In the outfield, the Oaks
may have Pete Scott, highly tempera
mental; George Ackennan, form fit.
Mary's football player, and Oeorg
Kelly, former big league star. Scott
la a good hitter and above average
