tory. Offerings of dressed birds remain

requests for supplies. As a result a
slight further advance In the prloe
has been forced although few birds
moved beyond the former limits.
Sales of hens were mostly loo, al
though here and there something
really top quality sold lo better, but
few of the latter were available.
Trading In the butter market oon
ttnues to reflect st least steadiness
with strength In spots In the local
territory. Make continued very light
with demand good.
While sale of undergrades was In
creasing and to some extent holds
down the price of good stuff, the egg
market In general la ooiuldered fully
stesdy.
Late advance In the price of live
jhlckens here was well held. Sales
were generally at top prices for pre
tloally all offerings.
Mar oountry-kllled oalvea were
reaching the wholesale way but de
mand was good and prices well held
as a rule. Hoga were about steady.
Demand for old lambs and mutton
remains favorable.
Potato market was Just holding Its
own.
New potatoes were "selling fairly
well; up to 8c lb.
Tomatoes were moving fair at -late
prices.
Sweet potatoes were firm for both
Osllfornlsn and for southern yarns.
Price for hothouse rhubarb wae well
maintained.
