B. L. Sanderson, head or the Sand
erson Motor company of this city, re
turned yesterday from Portland where
he attended the automobile show and
completed arrangement for handling
the studebaker and Rockne lines in
this territory. He rttumed here In a
smart new Rookne. the first of the
new models to be shown In Medford.
and will display it at the Sanderson
Motor oompany at ao7 south River
side. "The Portland automobile show was
an unqualified success," Mr. Sander
son said yesterday. "Portland dealers
and factory representatives were grat
ified at the suoceaa of the show and
the marked Inorease in enthusiasm
on the part of the public. Many sales
were consummated during the course
of the show Indicating confidence
and optimism on the part of the
public at prlcea so moderate. This la
true of all standard line, displayed."
The used car situation Is better
than It has been for many months,
waa also Mr, Sanderson's observa
tion yesterday when Interviewed. .
The Rockne line for 1933 comprises
a five-passenger sedan, flve-paasenger
coach, two-passenger coupe, four
passenger coupe, convertible roadster
and convertible sedan: standard ss
well as deluxe models In the moder
ate price class.
Every normal need tor a motor car
Is thereby gratified Throughout ail
the models of the Rockne line, the
distinctive areodynamlc styling that
puts Rockne In a class alone In Its
price field U evident no matter from
what angle the car is viewed. The ae-
dan and coach models have as muoh
admirable symmetery as the coupes
and roadsters. ,
There Is a new and wider sweep to
the Rockne fenders, particularly in
front. The headlamps are of a new
and decidedly more attractive design
It Is luxuriously roomy. It com
bines tremendous power with low cost
of operation. Its entire mechanism
Is well nigh flawless,
It has wonderful balance taking
turns steadily and smoothly at speeds
one would not dare risk with many
other cars. It steers with remarkable
ease.
Its extra large slx-cy!lnder engine la
not only Inherently smooth at all
speeds but assurance against vibra
tion Is made doubly sure by floating
It In live rubber at all four points of
suspension.
