Eleven dusky warriors from the

Medford high school on the basket
ball floor at the senior hlg,h school

not been learned whether or not
they will wear war paint in the fray,
but whether they do or they don't,
It will be a "battle of the century."
Coach Darwin K. Burgher said this
morning that his men are ready for
the Invasion, and aren't afraid of
either ambush or straight fighting
"The Indians are full of tricks,"
Burgher said, "but when we get them
In the open, on a basketball floor. It
will be straight basketball that
counts."
Spectacular Pair
Leslie Lavelle, Coach and manager
for the chemawa team, said In a let
ter to Coach Burgher that he was
including Vlvette and Hatfield in the
, squad, although they are Ineligible
F at the second semester, because the
boys axe such spectacular players
and have worked so hard during the
past years at the school that they
deserved the trip. Coach Burgher
agreed to let the two boys play.
Brown, regular Tiger guard, Is still
wobbly from a severe attack of the
flu, and Isn't expected to play much
tonight, although he may get In for
a short while. T. White will switch
