GRANTS PASS. Ore., Jan. 18
(8pl.) Attempts to find the body of
Clarence A. (Pat) CUne, 34, who, It
Is feared lost his life about Decem
ber 24 In the snow covered Bear
Basin, near Crescent City, have so
far proved futile.
After & thorough combing of the
snow In the vicinity where Cllne's
knap-sack was found the first of last
week, arrangements were being made
to organise a party of volunteer
searchers to look for the body. It
Is not thought likely that the re
mains will be uncovered until the
snow begins to melt In the spring.
Cllne left Crescent City on "the
morning of December 34 to return
to his cabin In the Bear Basin
Friends, receiving no word of him,
began to worry and began the search
for Cllne, which so far has been
fruitless.
Cllne had been trapping In the
Bear Basin country, batching with
Herman Zulpluh. He went to Cres
cent City last October from San
Francisco, where he was a salesman
for Spauldlng Brothers sporting
goods.
Card of Thanks.
We wish to express our sincere
appreciation to the many friends for
the sympathy and kindness extended
us during our recent bereavement,
and also for the lovely floral offer
