Point grade and high schools. These

DEER FROZEN IN

water and light department employe
to save the life or a fine four-point
buck which had been frozen In th
Ice on th upper part of the Keedsr
Oulch reseivolr failed.
The buck, evidently coming from
a warmer climate, was found Tues
day fro sen In th Ice of the lake,
nearly dead from exhaustion and
cold, when City Water Superintend
ent Barl Hosier and his asslatanta
mad their usual trip to the reser
voir. With th side of the bank la
covered, th deer had been unable
to reach solid ground and had spent
the night on the Ice.
He was taken to th city ware
house and effort made to revive him
but all efforta failed.
