ASTORIA. Ore., Dec. 3. (AP) An
unexploded bomb, fashioned from 47
sticks of dynamite with fuse attach
ed, was found today under a rear
room of the Youngs Bay Cooperative
Dairy here, Chief of Police John
Acton disclosed.
The ohlef expressed belief the bomb
was placed by the same person who
successfully set off another bomb In
the boiler room of the dairy, wreck
ing that part of the building Wed
nesday night. '
District Attorney P. P. Lelnen
weber said today he would take the
case before the county grand jury.
His statement was In response to a
request of the Portland office of the
International, Labor Defense league
that such an Investigation of the
"fascist terror bombing" be held and
that every effort be made to bring
about "the arrest and conviction of
the perpetrators."

ick Stelwer left Portland last night
for Washington, D. C. He expects
to arrive In time for the opening of
the session Monday morning.

ocratic farm relief plans were dis
cussed today by Chairman Jones f
the house agriculture committee and
Greorg W. Hill, president of the
American Tobacco company, who
conferred with President-elect Roose
velt Thursday.
It was understood Hill made no
specific suggestions but offered his
services to the committee in supply
ing Information on Tobacco and the
tobacco Industry.

Archbishop Albert T. Daeger, 60, of
the Catholic archdiocese of northern
New Mexico, died here today of in
juries suffered when he fell down a

Current new business of 317 mills, re
porting to the West Coast Lumber
men's association for the week end
ing November 36, was 17.10 per cent
over production, and shipments 6.2
per cent over production, the associa
tion said today.
The mills operated at 23.1 per cent
of capacity.
Unfilled orders Increased 3.449.000
feel over the previous week; new ex
port business increased 0.692,000 feet;
new rail business Increased 8,036.000
feet; the local trade decreased 852.000
feet and the new domestic cargo
orders dropped 7,724,000 feet.
