Chester Morris Is
Star Holly Picture
The old saying 'To the victor be
longa the spoils" might be true In
most cases but not In "Breach of
Promise" which la now showing at
the Holly theatre.
CheBter Morris and Mae Clark, who
enact tne ateiiar roles of this drama
tic version of Rupert Hughes' story
"Obscurity" give an outstanding ex
ample, oi tne exception which proves
tne ruie in mis case.
As the young and handsome lawver
who saves a pretty girl from drown
ing, one would naturally expect the
nero to win tne maiden's heart and
hand. But nothing of the sort. The
girl, turns round and not only sues
but collects the tidy sum of 150,000.
Here again the proverb paradoxically
goes contrary to the rule. The atrl
does not get any satisfaction out of
securing tne fortune but goes to Jail
for collecting It.
Of added Interest on todays pro
gram at the Holly theatre are motion
plotures of the Medford Hl-Jefferson
HI football game played In Portland
on Thanksgiving day.
CLARK GABLE AT ROXY

Wallace Beery and Clark Gable now

planes reached a speed of 880 miles
