when Congress voted the raw cotton
for that purpose to the Rod Croes In
midsummer.
Congress also had laid 85,000,000
bushels of Farm Board wheat upon
the Red Cross doorstep, beginning
last March, and the great relief
organization had conquored the task
of putting flour and bread from this
wheat Into the homes of 3,500,000
of the nation's needy families. The
wheat distribution continues and It
Is eetlniated that the free flour will
not be exhausted until the late
spring ot 1933.
Cotton presented a complex prob
lem, but the Red Cross swung a
large staff of workers Into the Job,
County, Oregon, and duly end legally
presented to the County Court of
Jackson County, Oregon, f district
road meeting of the legal voters of
said district numbes- 13 will be held
at the Sams VAlley Orange, In Jack
son County, Oregon, on the 29th day
of November, 1932, at the hour of
10:00 a. m. on ..Id day for the pur
Poac of levying a special road tax not
to exceed ten mills on the dollar on
all taxable property within said road
district for the special .Improvement
of tho road within the district and
for any other purpose, which may
seem proper to com before said
meeting.

lng and other direct relief, In the

In America. Its salvation has always

to establish popular-priced opera.
These were revived this year in Oht
cago's huge stadium. But the "shirt
