GETS NO RECORD
NBW YORK, Nov. 23. yp) The

As a means of saving the Amer

quadrennial task of raising funds to
finance America's participation In the
international gamea, the delegates
were to be asked to vote approval
of a tax of five cents on all admis

Moat of yesterday's wrangling over
the record committee's recommenda
tions oentered about the perform

whether they should be given equal
record recognition with the winners.
The upshot of the fight was that

Tolan In the 100-meter final, was
given equal recognition with Tolan
for new record of 10.1 seconds, and
Mrs. Evelyn Hall wss given similar
recognition In the 80 -meter hurdles,
although she finished behind Mildred

all but "out" on hi feet after By

ring with flying headlocks, and could
hardly stand. But he mustered suf

drop him with a resounding crash
which put an end to the match.
Pete weighed 169 pounds, Bylund 100.
