(By. Adrian Fraley) !
With nothing but victories to i
their credit so far, the Medford Ti
gers are hoping for the long end of
the score In the Armistice day game!
with University high of Eugene, to
be played on Van Scoyoc field. The
locals have been practicing to over
come the weaknesses which may con
front the team, owing to several reg
utas on the bench with the flu. The
regulars such as W.hlte, Llndley, La
tham, Bennett and Lewis, may not
see action.
Other than thess weaknesses the
locals are gainer by experience which
will help them In the future. T,he
locals whipped Eugene high to the
tune of 19 to 0. With such victo
ries as over Klamath Palls and Grante
Pass the Tigers are hoping for up
state competition.
The University high rooters ex
pect to see good returns from Gra
ham. Mackenzie, Howard, Brooks and
Norris at their backfield positions.
The visitors lost to Eugene by a
score of 37 to 0 on a wet field sev
eral weeks ago. The fighting Golden
Tide won victory over the Orange
of Boseburg In a close and hard
fought game. The locals won from
Roseburg by a score of 14 to 0.
Klrtley, brother to the assistant
coach at the local high school, will
be playing at his regular position
at left tackle. He is heavy, weigh
ing over 170 pounds, and bard to
move.
If Medford Is victorious in tomor
row's game the locals will have a
good show for a tilt with a strong
upstate team which may lead to a
battle for the state championship.
