Mr. Codding has voluntarily accepted a salary reduction In accord ance with the recommendations made by Governor Meier's committee. Mr. Codding Is at the present time, Vice-President of the District Attorney's Association of Oregon. Approximately 3000 criminal cases have been handled thru the District Attorney's office during his Administration with a high percentage of convictions. In addition to this the Office has handled all of the Civil business of the County snd given 500 Opinions to County Officers. Considering (he number of cases handled, the District Attorney's Office of Jacxson County has been operated for less than any other County In Oregon In all criminal cases, Mr. Codding has attempted to so prepare and assemble the evidence that pleas of guilty have been had In a large percentage of the cases thereby saving the County the expense of Grand Jury Investigations and expense of trials.
