Vaudeville Tonite
On Stage at Holly
Has Clever Stunts
The stage 1 all set for another of
the big vaudeville bills at the Holly.
This bill promises to be one of the
best presented so far as it presents
acts that have been proven a sensa
tion wherever they have shown. Sey
more and Corncob, two Hollywood
aneiKfl- will present the same act
that has caused riots of laughter
everywhere they have appeared. Jack
and Betty Cavanaugh, another sensa
tional act, will also appear on this
bill. This act presents some novel
roping and wild west stuff and em
ploys the use of two trained dogs.
Jimmy Dunn and Mable present a
whirlwind of music, comedy and
dancing that Is certain to please
everyone. Ken Ross has a sensational
Juggling and alanctng act and the
Musical Sweethearts furnish music
for the entire bill. '
The screen bill will present a va
ried program headlined by the Car
veth Wells subject. Hell Below Zero,
which was taken on the Mountain
of the Moon In Equatorial Africa. It
Is said, and proven, by this picture
that on this mountain one Is likely
to be stricken with sunstroke and be
frozen to death at the same time.
Carveth Wells Is well knownr for his
explorations and this record of his
trip la most unusual. "I saw this
subject In the Paramount theater In
Portland a short time ago, John Nie
dermeyer. manager of the Holly said
today, and was so Impressed by It
that I wanted my Medford friends
to have the opportunity to see It too.
It Is the first time that I have ever
heard a metropolitan audience actu
ally applaud a movie subject, but
they certainly broke loose on this
one.
A number of novelty short subjects
will complete the screen program. The
entire bill will consume slightly over
two hours and according to Manager
Niedermeyer, these same vaudeville
acts have been appearing In the
larger houses In the cities at much
higher admission prices than are to
be charged at the Holly.
Australian Picture
Craterian's Feature
"The Blonde captive," a record of
Dr. Paul Wlthington's expedition Into
the wilds of Australia, Is the current
attraction at the Craterlan theater.
It combines entertainment and edu
cational value and, besides being en
dorsed by various government and
educational groups. Is one of the fas
cinating, thrilling pictures of Its type
ever to reach civilization. The story
relates the amazing story of a white
woman lost among a tribe of primi
tive people claimed by anthropolo
gists to be the oldest race In exist
ence.
Famous Novel Will
Apear Fox Rialto
So much has oeen written and said
about "All Quiet On the Western
Front" at the Rialto theater tomor
row, that anything one might say
now Is almost a waste of words. The
many thousands who have read the
book, the thousands who have already
seen the picture, admit Its superi
ority over anything that has been
made in war stories,
"The Office Girl." a bright, sparkl
ing musical comedy romance, shows
for the lsst times tonight.
