Truck BUI; W. E. Davles, Repeal of
the 18th Amendment, and H. W.
Ward, Oleo Tax Bill.
It la of great Importance to the
dairy Interests of tne county that
the oleo tax bill be carried and all
Grangers and farmers are urged to
use their Influence to that effect.

duce and meats are being brought
Into the valley from outside points
while fine fat herds and other farm
product are going begging for i
buyer.
An appeal Is made to all of Jack'
son county people to buy Jackson
county raised products whenever
available. Protect your home Indus
tries, and buy produce raised by your
county taxpayers, remembering that
without the sale of their products
the farmers cannot pay their taxes,
and when taxes are not paid the
whole county suffers. Be loyal, buy
home raised products,
. During the lecture hour a mock
prize fight waa staged under lender
ship of Laurence Wlnslow. The con
testants were blindfolded and the
exhibition was decidedly ludicrous.
The contestants were Clarence Ting
leaf, Wallace Dlnsmore, Ralph Dins
more, and Oerakt Ward.
Mrs. Floyd Barrett, chairman of the
recreation club committee, led lu the
tinging of old time songs.
Refreshments were served by the
men of the Orange, losers In the pro
gram contest.
We are asking all voters In the
Eagle Point precinct to remember
that the Orange Home Economics
committee Is serving a home products
dinner at the Orange hall on election
day, November 8, from 13 noon to
1:80 p. m. This will be a hot chicken
or turkey dinner with salad, dessert,
pickles and Jelly, for a small price.

In the evening of the same day the
ways and means committee will stage
a dance where you can enjoy yourself
wane waiting for the election re
turns.
