Ilotue Destroyed The large resi
dence belonging to W. A. Grant ot
Table Rock was completely destroyed
by fire late Prldny afternoon, accord
ing to state police who visited the
scene. Little of the furniture was
saved, they reported. Mr. Grant was
a short distance from the house, and
unon looklnjr In that direction, saw
the flames, he said. No means of com
batting the blaze was available.
Ball at $500 Early Friday morning
state police at Grants Pass arrested
Arthur Webber, 22, of Trena-y, Mich.,
Raymond Secley, 23, of Los Angeles,
and Clifton McCammon, 26, of Santa
Barbara, with sixty gallons of gasoline
and cylinder oil in their car, which
was later reported stolen from a Stan
dard Oil station In Grants Pass. The
car they were driving Is being held
until it is determined whether the
machine was stolen, Captain Lee M.
Bown of the state police stated. The
trio appeared in Grant Pass court
Friday afternoon, and waived grand
Jury rights. Their ball was set at
J500 each.
