evening on the freight truck and
bus bill, giving the history of the
inttlatlve and referendum, and the
reaulta and responsibilities It places
upon the voter.
He gave the history of the freight
bill and told how It started with
ten-cent signature. He stated that
people signed It, In order to help
tha person with the petition. In his
address he maintained that the bill
Is misleading. In that It promises
lower licenses for auto owners, which,
he claims. Is merely a prediction.
Mr. Smith said that the highway
commission at the present time la
Investigating license fees.
