tenoed to serve a year In a federal
road camp, and paroled. The court
said that leniency was extended to
Trlplett because "you did not take
the stand and testify to thlnga that
were not true- The district attor
ney admonished Trlplett to "stay
awav from pool halls and taxis" in
the future.
In the cases of Merrill Burnap and
Uoyd Seaton, Klamath Falls youths
and taxi drivers, also found guilty,
the court declared "Judgment will be
reserved until a later date, as the
court desires to make further in
quiry relative to their mistaken loy
alty of youth to this nefarious con
spiracy, when they took the stand
and testified to things that were not
so.'
In the case of William Gllmore,
60, of Klamath Falls, the court asked
for facts and recommendations from
the district attorney. It was stated
that Gilmore's connection with the

the solution of the unemployment
and relief problems.
Communilty Chest officials confer
red yesterday with Judge Lamkln
and Mayor Wilson, both of whom
are anxious to have the necessary
organization perfected for the hand
ling of these problems, and a defi
nite program for action will be pre
sented by Hamilton Pat ton. chairman
of the Community Chest budget
committee, based on the establish
ment of a central agency through
which all relief work will be cleared.
Centralization Urged
In their meeting yesterday, direc
tors of the Community Chest strong
ly recommended the centralization of
all relief activities.
Harry G. Moore, manager of the
Association of the Unemployed, re
ported that his visit to Klamath Falls
over the week end had been convinc
ing of the necessity for centralized
organization. "In Klamath county,"
stated Mr. Moore, "all of the relief
work has been placed under one
head, and their organization has
been functioning for over a year. The
results of their work there can easily
be seen, and, although Klamath
county's problem Is possibly much
worse than In Jackson county, they
have accumulated sufficient supplies
to satisfactorily handle the problem,
There are over 800 families being
supported by the county organiza
tion there at the present time."
Mr. Moore also stated that those
In charge of the relief activities In
Klamath county will be glad to give
those Interested in the problem In
Jackson county the benefit of their
experience in handling relief work.
