quad through graduation, live reg

from the backtleld, with a yawning

the football situation at Oregon
State college will present a definite
problem when the team turns out
tomorrow for opening practice. Only

Miles of Honolulu, varsity reserve,
will be at left.

and Don Wagner are leading the
pack for left tackle, and Ade
Schwarmel of Oakland and Wayne
Hart of Pontana, Cel., are trying
for the right tackle Job,

par with last season, with Everett
Davis of St. Paul, Neb., at right,
and Keith Davis of Lincoln, Neb.,
at left.

give Blacone a stiff battle for left

Headquarters of the Democratic
central committee of Jackson coun
ty, will open Monday at 301 East
Msln street next to the First National
bank, It was announced Saturday
afternoon by Frank DeSouza, Jack
son county chairman.
Maxwell Marvin, secretary of the
committee, will be In charge of the
offices. Activities of the Democrats
will be directed from there, Mr. De
Souza stated, and Vie committee
meetings will be conducted, and vis
itors welcomed at the headquarters.

for the University of Oregon's open
ing football session here today, nine
of those 50 were regulars from last
year's eleven.
